My First Roll of Film
Recently I came across my grandfather’s Taron III camera. With no experience, I got a roll of film and tried taking pictures.
I purchased a roll of Kodak Gold 200, 24 exposure film, and began taking pictures as I went about my days. Keeping a spreadsheet, I played with various settings to test the camera and results.
After getting the results were slightly disappointing, but also interesting. Besides the massive user error with most of the pictures being either over or underexposed, not all of the pictures seemed to develop. I ended up taking 25 pictures on the roll of film, but only 23 images returned from the development lab. The first and last images I took did not show on the film. The above 4 images, while underexposed, came out decently in my opinion. It has been suggested to me to get a proper light meter as I go forward, and I’m already working on another roll of the same film. I’m looking forward to the results and improvement with proper exposure.
